In our work, customers often ask us why they need to pay for printing plates (cylinders) after paying for packaging bags. Today we will introduce printing plates (cylinders). I believe that through this article Everyone will understand the importance of printing plates (cylinders).
Printing plates (cylinders) can actually be understood as equivalent to a set of molds. All our exquisite designs need to be printed through this set of molds. Therefore, whether it is flexographic printing or gravure printing, we all need printing plates (cylinders), but the printing plates (cylinders) required by these two printing technologies are slightly different.
Flexographic printing patterns are three-dimensionally engraved on printing plates (cylinders). However, a big disadvantage of this printing technology is that the printed patterns will have large dots, which does not look refined enough. Gravure printing does not have this problem. The pattern engraving of gravure printing is the opposite of the engraving of flexo printing. It is slightly concave. The printing effect of gravure printing is several levels better than that of flexo printing.
Printing plates (cylinders) are charged based on the packaging size and the numbers of colors of the design. Generally speaking, the larger the packaging size, the higher the cost of printing plates (cylinders). Each color needs to make one piece of printing plate (cylinders). For example, if we have 10 colors in a design, we need to make 10 pieces of printing plates (cylinders). The price of each printing plate (cylinders) is $70-$120.
Generally speaking, printing plates (cylinders) can last for more than 2 years, of course, this is also related to its workload. Printing plates (cylinders) will suffer a certain amount of wear during use. If the printing volume is large, the service life of printing plates (cylinders) will naturally be shortened. Of course, if the printing plates (cylinders) are no longer usable within a short period of time, we will bear all the costs of remaking the printing plates (cylinders).
Currently, we are conducting a free printing plates (cylinders) campaign. As long as you inquire with us from now to November 30, we will retain the rights of free printing plates (cylinders) for you until you place an order with us.
What are you waiting for? Hurry up and inquire with us!
