What is environmental friendly? I think environmental friendly includes at least two aspects, one is conscious of environmental protection, and the other is environmentally friendly products.
That is, people have an awareness of environmental protection, and when they have to use some products that are not very environmentally friendly, they can properly handle them to achieve environmentally friendly goals. At present, the packaging of many of our daily necessities is still regarded as “unenvironmentally friendly products”, but since there is no way to replace these “unenvironmentally friendly products”, we cannot avoid using them. Therefore, the most important task at present is to cultivate good environmental awareness.
There are actually many types to choose from, including degradable and recyclable materials. Degradable materials refer to materials that can be completely decomposed by natural microorganisms after being discarded and are not harmful to the environment; while recyclable materials refer to materials that can be reused after use. Although the scope of application of degradable materials is currently relatively limited, they can only be used to make disposable plastic bags and cannot be used as packaging options for food or other daily commodities. This is mainly because degradable materials have issues with barrier properties and heat sealability, and do not offer the same level of performance as traditional plastic packaging. Under normal circumstances, recyclable materials can provide equivalent functional characteristics as traditional plastic packaging; but the cost is higher and we also need to consider a question: Have all recyclable materials been effectively used? Or does it end up in landfills like other waste? If the latter situation occurs, the entire concept of “recyclable” will lose its original meaning.
Nowadays, people advocate the use of paper drink containers to replace traditional plastic containers. World-renowned chain restaurant companies such as McDonald’s have already taken the lead in switching from plastic to paper containers. However, market surveys have found that the so-called paper containers used by most coffee shops are not all made of paper, usually covered with a thin layer of plastic film to prevent leakage when storing liquids. This is actually a forged “environmentally friendly” concept.
Therefore, in the process of promoting the development of new green information technology, we should view it objectively The definition of “environmentally friendly”; it is not necessary to blindly pursue green products, but more importantly, it is necessary to act according to one’s own correct concepts and reduce the use or appropriate disposal of plastic products. After all, plastic products still play an extremely important role for human beings.
